A contractor is defined as a construction firm, which may or may not act as a prime contractor, but does undertake work on projects in part or whole using its own jobsite workforce. Only contractors who are engaged in the construction business and have established a reputation for skill integrity, and responsibility, may be considered for membership.
A contractor may be an individual, partnership or corporation that contracts to perform construction work and has been in the contracting business two or more years. Membership shall be held in the name of the individual, partnership or corporation applying. How to join KCA: 1. Complete the Contractor memberships application and submit to KCA. 2. Complete and submit the National AGC membership application if your company is not already a member through another state chapter. The second application for National AGC must also be completed. Your National AGC dues need only be paid one time per year through your company's home chapter no matter how many state chapters you join. KCA annual dues are as follows:
$ 950.00 Annual Dues $ 460.00 National AGC Dues $1,420.00 Total Annual Dues First Year* *2nd year dues will include the $950 annual dues plus volume dues based on volume of work performed in Kansas the previous year. Your volume dues are calculated at .0012 timex your volume of work in Kansas for the previous year with a maximum volume of $15 miillion. Maximum Dues a member can pay in any year, is therefore $18,950.00 plus the National AGC Dues. National Dues are only paid one time per year to your home chapter.
