Good Roads, Good Jobs...Good for Kansas
The nation’s roads and highways are the backbone of the U.S. transportation system, allowing Americans to travel approximately 3 trillion miles annually. Kansans depend on good roads in their communities to commute to work, to carry out everyday errands and to enjoy recreational activities. Continued investment in our state’s transportation is necessary to reduce congestion, increase capacity and improve safety. Consistent funding for transportation ensures the conditions of our roads and bridges ensures the state of this vital link keeps up with the demands of our state’s economy.

May 5th is a Critical day for the Transportation Program at the State Legislature.

The Senate gets underway at 10:00 am, May 5th, and we are asking you to make the trip to Topeka to show your support and to contact your legislators when you are in town.

CAN'T MAKE IT?

For those who can't make the trip, contact your legislators and make sure they are aware of the importance of the issue.  We are centering our concern on the Senate Wednesday but we also need to have the House involved as they get the bills on Thursday.
