The association assists members in meeting
federal requirements, who do not participate in a labor-management apprenticeship
program, by offering its "Manpower Development and Training Program" to
train women and minorities in trainee slots on federal-aid highway projects.
The association maintains an extensive
lending library of publications and video tapes for use by members to train
and educate their employees.
The association-sponsored KCA Construction
Education Foundation, governed by member trustees, makes annual grants
to colleges and universities, and other organizations, to help purchase
equipment, and print materials, in use in construction-related courses.
