Builders' Association Self-Insurers' Fund (BASIF)
The Workers' Compensation Insurance Plan available only to KCA members is the chapter sponsored Builders' Association Self-Insurers' Fund (BASIF). The plan covers company employees wherever they work and is a lower cost option for industry professionals.
Cost savings are achieved through advance discounts--all surplus funds accrue to members of the fund and are returned to participating members according to the dividend formula. The investment income belongs to the members of the fund and is returned to members each year a surplus exists.
* BASIF is available to qualifying contractor members and suppliers that produce construction products and supply them to the contractor's job sites.
