The Construction Industry of Kansas Health & Welfare Trust Fund Program (CIK), is only for association members. The plan is administered through Firserv Health with benefits and marketing provided through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BKBSKS).

The Construction Industry of Kansas Health & Welfare Trust Fund recently expanded the number of medical plans available to subscribing members and made more supplier/service provider members eligible to join the association plan.
KCA membership is required to participate in the CIK health and dental plan. While originally limited to contractor members, the CIK Board of Trustees recently expanded eligibility to supplier/service provider members who produce sand, gravel, crushed limestone and aggregate, ready-mixed concrete, lime, concrete block and brick and fabricated structural metal and pipe. Also eligible are those who sell construction equipment and machinery, lumber, brick and stone and those who offer engineering and surveying services.
The number of medical plans available was also expanded from two to nine. These new
plan offerings provide flexibility to attract and retain new employees while helping control the rising cost of healthcare. All plans use the Blue Choice Network, the largest network of providers available in Kansas.
The board consists of contractor members working to ensure the CIK program has very competitive
rates.
